It's beginning to look a lot like....

Christmas!  Haha.  Not really.  I just started knitting up a couple of projects that will eventually be Christmas presents.  I started the shawl that I am making for my sister in law yesterday.  I found the pattern on ravelry and I thought it was pretty cool...especially considering the patterns name is "Miami Vice."

The finished product is supposed to look like this:

So far mine looks like this:

The yarn and colorway that I'm using is Three Irish Girls McClellan Fingering weight in the colorway Ryan...Which looks a little something like this:

Ryan

The other project that I've got going is the Baby Fan Blanket,  another pattern that I found on ravelry.  Only this blanket will not be a baby blanket.  I'm knitting it up for my aunt who's name I have drawn this year for our family Christmas.

This is what it's supposed to look like when it's done (photo is borrowed from the pattern):

I haven't started it yet, I had to special order the yarn that I'm going to use to knit this project up.  The yarn I'm using is called Mochi Plus and I'm using the colorway Leaves and Sprouts, which is a variegated green colorway.

If your on ravelry you can find me as sheeplesinthecity.

That's really cool! I wish I could do that...my mom once tried to show me, but it didn't end well ><
