Review:

Oh my goodness!  I got to read this ARC as part of a tour site and for me I was very sad that I had to send it on to the next person on the list.  I enjoyed this book so very much!  I will definitely be buying a finished copy when they become available.  FOR SURE!

There are so many things questions in this book that it made it a fun read for me.  Is Nikki able to cheat fate?  During the Feed who was the boys face that helped her make the decision to go back to the surface after the Feed?  Are there proper goodbyes?  Are there any goodbyes at all?  For the most part these questions are answered, well partially answered, your just going to have to get a copy of Everneath to find out the answers.

I was really intrigued by Nikki.  She was a mish mash of patience, intelligence, and caring with a healthy dose of dramatic and impulsive.  Nikki ends up in the Everneath by circumstances, ones I'm not going to give away.  Basically, Nikki doesn't want to hurt anymore and Cole comes along and offers her a "chance of a lifetime" kind of deal.  For me Nikki was really easy to connect with.  We've all hurt at some point or another and wished for a way to just make it stop hurting.  I thought the secondary characters were done excellently, even our two love interests.  Which seems to be a reoccurring theme these days in YA but I still liked it a lot.

Overall, I really think this book is the beginning of something really beautiful for this debut author.  If this book isn't already on your wish list, ADD IT IMMEDIATELY!

I don't usually re-read but there are a few exceptions to that rule...These are the one's that I could come up with off the top of my head.  NOTE: Series are lumped together.

1. Lonesome Dove...It's an EPIC novel.  I LOVE it.

2. Changing The Game...The sex is hot and the story is pretty hot too!

3. The Hunger Games trilogy...ummm....Who doesn't love The Hunger Games?!

4. Divergent...LOVE me some Four!  The story is VERY good and it's pretty fast paced beginning to end.

5. The Black Dagger Brotherhood series....Sexy Warrior Vampires!  These aren't your Twilight vamps!

6. Enclave...I'm not usually into zombie books but this one is really good and the zombie's aren't "traditional" zombies.  An excellent solid Dystopian novel.

7. In Bed with a Highlander...A quite humorous historical romance.  I giggled most of the way through this one the first time I read it.

8. The Killer Angels...I'm a big history buff and I'm particularly fond of the Civil War and "Indian Wars" time frame.  This book is about the battle of Gettysburg and the actual movie Gettysburg is based around this book.

9. North and South series...I just flat out love this series.

10. The Iron Fey series...Team Ash or Team Puck...I can't decide.

1. Charlotte's Web by E.B White - I LOVED this book when I was growing up.  A great story about friendship.

2. Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls - Another book that I LOVED growing up.  I remember my fourth grade teacher reading this one to us out loud.  Not a dry eye in the classroom.

3. The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton - AWESOME SAUCE!  Very good but sad.

4. The Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom - There's a lesson to be learned from this one.

5. The Killer Angels by Michael Shaara - I'm a big history buff and this book is AWESOME!  Plus, the movie Gettysburg is loosely based on this book.

6. The Red Badge of Courage by Stephan Crane - Another "history" book!

7. Dances With Wolves by Michael Blake - I saw the movie first and LOVED the movie, then I saw that a friend of mine had the book so I borrowed it and LOVED it almost as much as the movie.

8. Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry - I finally read the book last year after watching the mini series a "million" times and loving every second of it.  The book is just as awesome as the mini series!  Don't let the fact that this is a western turn you off of this book.  I'm actually going to re-read it and review it shortly because I want to share it soooo much.  IT'S EPIC AWESOME SAUCE!

9.  The Pioneer Woman: Black Heels to Tractor Wheels by Ree Drummond - I follow PW (that's what her "groupies" call her) blog religiously and this now book started as a way to fill a slight blogging funk that came along...Then it turned into a "we have to have more!" thing and now we have this book!  LOVED it!  The Black Heels to Tractor Wheels was thought up by a blog reader as part of a contest...Pretty cool. :)
